lilylaflor asked you:

Hello! I love your art, i especially enjoy the adventures in escapism… very surreal. I wanted to ask you if you were inferring to the drug LSD or extacy? I really enjoyed your blog. :] chao

Thankyou!

Well I started working on Adventures In Escapism when I got home from New York and was depressed about being stuck in Australia again so I wanted to make a comic to take my mind off the bitter resentment i felt for not being where I wanted to be. Basically i just wanted to create an interesting world to escape into where the comics weren’t always relying on humor or a punchline and were rather just a means to tell a different kind of story and explore different kinds of themes.

So yeah it’s not a reference to any drugs, more so just a reference to me wanting to escape MUNDANE Australian life (It’s not that bad I was just super bummed to be home). Also you didn’t really ask this but I do have a pretty clear point in my mind where I know the comic is going and also a clear point for when I want it to end, there is a vague story line its following at the moment which i will start fleshing out more soon. The problem is creating stand alone comics while also trying to weave the continuous story throughout them.

Questions: ANSWERED?! kinda.

Here you will find comics, illustrations, doodles, gifs, animations and pretty much anything else that he creates. He wrote this in the third person because it sounds more professional.
